SET_ALARM, used to hand a duration to your watch's clock app.Quick Timers ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") is a timer tile for Wear OS smartwatches, operated by an independent developer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not handle, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.
Quick Timers does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There is no account, and the app has no internet permission, so it cannot send data off your watch. Specifically:
The app saves one thing: the eight durations shown on your tile, so that your presets survive a reboot. These are durations — "5 minutes", "1 hour" — and nothing else. They are held in the app's private storage on your watch, are never transmitted, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
| Permission | Why the app uses it |
|---|---|
SET_ALARM | Hand a duration to the clock app already installed on your watch, which is what actually runs the timer. |
That is the complete list. The app schedules no alarms of its own, posts no notifications, does not vibrate your wrist, does not start at boot, and never runs in the background.
When you tap a timer, Quick Timers sends the duration to your watch's clock app using Android's standard timer request. From that moment the timer belongs to the clock app: it shows the countdown, sounds the alarm, and posts the notification, under its own privacy policy rather than this one. Quick Timers cannot read the clock app's data, cannot see which timers are running, and receives nothing back from it.
On most watches this is Google's Clock or Samsung's Clock. Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, because the app does not collect or receive any. No data is shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third party.
The only stored data is your eight tile presets, which live on your watch until you reset them within the app or uninstall the app, at which point they are removed.
Because no data ever leaves your watch, it is protected by the security of your device and the operating system's app-storage sandbox. Keeping data on-device and off any network removes the risks that come with transmitting or storing it elsewhere.
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
